Welcome to jomEstate

First of all, welcome to jomEstate and congratulations on your decision to use one of the greatest Real Estate components available today!

Many of our customers find that with the user friendly interface and self-explanatory functions in JomEstate, they can immediately hit the ground running. For those who prefer to aquaint themselves with a "Users Manual" before jumping in, we have put together this quick-start guide. Please note that upon installation, everything will be configured to default settings and will be working as intended.

About the jomEstate Wiki

As are most Wikis, ours is a constant work in progress. Please feel free to offer your suggestions as to ways we can improve this databse. All of the current documentation and guides that exist are stored here on the jomEstate Wiki. You'll notice that the wiki is divided into 'spaces', or sections.

Installation

Follow the steps below. 

  1. Ensure than your web server meets the server requirements: Server requirements.
  2. Download the jomEstate product files: Get the software
  3. Follow the new installation guide: New installation

Where it can be managed

Properties

The main listings table is where you will manage all Properties. Some of the core functions you'll see and use on this page in managing your properties are: Search, Edit, Delete, Publish, Unpublish, Set Availability, etc.


Listings are managed in the Back-End under:
Control Panel > Components > jomEstate > Properties.

Categories

This section allows you to insert the listings categories and sub-categories, under which listings are created.

Control Panel > Components > jomEstate > Categories.

Attributes

Custom fields that describes the characteristics of the property e.g. property type, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, etc.


Attributes are managed in the Back-End under:
Control Panel > Components > jomEstate > Attributes.

Additionally, once the attributes have been created you'll be able to assign them to individual properties on the Properties page in the back end.

Control Panel

Available for all users allows to manage own listings directly from the Front - End of the website


The Control Panel is available on the Front-End of the website .

Our support offices are open Monday - Friday during normal working hours, CEST. You can reach us via live chat or email, as well as through the helpdesk. Our support offices are closed during the weekends.

Community support

If you prefer a more social support experience, drop into the jomEstate forum and ask your question. jomEstate customers are helpful and you'll be able to talk to many experienced hands and third-party developers.
